Thursday, October 16 2003 10:56 Hrs (IST)

Ranchi: The banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) ultras blasted the Gajandi railway station in Jharkhand's Koderma district in the early hours of October 16, disrupting train services on the route.

The Additional Director General of Police, J Mohapatra, said a gang of ultras came to the station and blasted it after chasing away the staff there.

The ultras fled when the police personnel immediately rushed to the spot.

While one railway track has been repaired, efforts are on to restore the other, he added.
