Gaya: Three brothers were shot dead by activists of the banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) and a
house was blown up at Gauharpur in Bihar's extremist-hit Gaya district on October 16 night.
Police said heavily-armed ultras raided the house of one Tripurari Sharma and killed his sons
Radheshyam Sharma, Bishram Sharma and Siyaram Sharma.
The extremists also blew up the house of one Bharat Singh in the same village with
explosives.
Police had to face resistance from angry locals when they arrived at the spot on October 17
morning.
The incident was believed to be in retaliation for the killing by suspected Ranvir Sena men near the
village on October 16 morning.
The district magistrate said the state government would provide Rs 50,000 as compensation to each of
the deceased families and Rs 500 for their cremation and a job to an eligible member of each of the
bereaved families.
The villagers had not yet allowed the police to remove the bodies demanding immediate arrest of the
culprits.
