New Delhi: Delhi Police has picked up 10 suspects in connection with the shocking rape of a Swiss diplomat in New Delhi and claimed to be making "fair and fast progress" in the investigations.

"We are thoroughly questioning 10 suspects and are verifying their movements at the time of the crime (on October 14 night)," Deputy Commissioner of Police (South District) Vivek Gogia told reporters on October 17.

He said their fingerprints were also being matched with those lifted from the lighter and the victim's car.

In an effort to help identify the culprits from among the suspects, police has e-mailed their photographs along with those of several others to the victim in Switzerland.
