PM congratulates China on first manned space mission

New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on October 17 congratulated China on the success of its maiden manned space mission.

In a message to Chinese President Hu Jintao, Vajpayee said this was eloquent demonstration of the remarkable technological progress made by that country.

Vajpayee also wrote to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, offering warm felicitations in this regard. He said it was a proud moment not only for Chinese space community, but also for the global scientific fraternity in the efforts to continuously expand the frontiers of science.
