New Delhi: India on October 17 rejected suggestion made by Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC)
Secretary General Abdelouahed Belkeziz for allowing a delegation from Muslim member states
to "inspect" Jammu and Kashmir, asserting, "It is our internal matter."
"I don't see anything new in that," External Affairs Ministry spokesman told reporters when asked about
OIC leader's statement.
"This suggestion has been made repeatedly and repeatedly we have turned it down," he
said.
To another question, he made it clear that in India-Pakistan relations, "we do not see any role for any
third party".
Addressing the summit of the 57-member grouping in Putrajaya in Malaysia, attended also by Pakistan
President Pervez Musharraf, Belkeziz applauded Pakistan for allowing an OIC delegation to visit
Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and hoped that India would also permit an "inspection of Indian-controlled
part of Jammu and Kashmir".
