BSF devises 3-pronged strategy to stop infiltration

Jammu: With an aim to check infiltration along Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir, Border Security
Force (BSF) has launched a three-pronged strategy, including setting up of night surveillance
equipment and thermal imagers, Director General, BSF, Ajay Raj Sharma has said.
"We have launched a three-pronged strategy, including installation of thermal imagers, night
surveillance equipment, fencing of border line with Pakistan and reorganisation of troops along Indo-Pak
border to put a complete halt to Pak-sponsored cross-border infiltration into J&K," Sharma told reporters
during his visit to border outposts along international border in Jammu.
Under this strategy, foreign and country-made thermal imagers and night surveillance equipments will be
installed along the borderline with Pakistan within six-months period as the first step to detect infiltration,
he said.
"We have set up anti-fidayeen squads in all units and camps to deal with any type of fidayeen attacks
against security forces in Jammu and Kashmir," Sharma, who is currently on two-day visit of Jammu,
said, adding anti-fidayeen drills have been started in all the units and camps in the state.
