2 ultras, Army officer killed in J&K encounter

Srinagar: Two militants and an Army officer were killed in a gunbattle in the frontier district of Kupwara in
Jammu and Kashmir early October 19, Defence sources said.
The encounter broke out at K K Gali, 10 km North West of Kupwara, in the wee hours when militants
opened fire on an Army patrol, they said.
Two militants, yet to be identified, and a lieutenant were killed in the encounter, the sources added.
