New Delhi: State run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on October 20 slashed international long distance (ISD) tariffs by a massive 70 per cent on account of the festive season, beginning October 21 midnight to November 21.

All calls to the United States, Canada and European countries (except UK) would now cost just Rs 9.60 a minute, down from Rs 24, and calls to UK would cost Rs 7.20 a minute.

The pulse rate for UK would be 10 seconds and for USA, Canada and other European countries the pulse rate would be 7.5 seconds.

The promotional scheme would be applicable to all basic, cellular, WLL mobile and PCOs, BSNL officials said.

BSNL, however, has not revised the ISD rates for other countries.
