Cinema theatres in M'rashtra call off 3-day strike

Mumbai: The three-day old strike called by single-screen cinema theatres in Maharashtra to press for their various demands was called off on October 20.

Announcing this after a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, producer Kiran Shantaram said that the strike had been called off after the government agreed to scale down the entertainment tax by 10 per cent.
