Rly minister Nitish Kumar rushes to accident site

Bangalore: Railway Minister Nitish Kumar rushed to Palahalli gate in Mandya district where four coaches of the Mysore-Bangalore "push-pull" train derailed on October 23 killing five persons and injuring 53 others.

Kumar who reached the city to witness the inking of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Karnataka government and Railway ministry on the Bangalore-Mangalore rail project, rushed to the mishap site soon after arrival, official sources said.
