Security Forces kill hardcore HM militant in Doda

Jammu: Security Forces has gunned down a Hizbul-Mujaheedin militant in Doda and apprehended an
overground worker of ultras in Rajouri district where a
militant hideout was also busted since October 24 evening, official sources said in Jammu on October
25.
Rashtriya Rifles Troops, on specific information, launched an operation in Trana village in Doda district
and in the subsequent encounter shot dead a hardcore militant of HM group, identified as Salim
Jafar.
The militant was active in the area for last 13 years and was involved in many killings and explosions,
they said adding some arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the encounter
site.
Security forces apprehended an overground worker, Abdul Rashid, from Kot Dhara village in Rajouri
district during the period, they said adding recoveries from him included two AK magazines and four
rounds of AK ammunition.
Security forces also busted a hideout in Mandhar area of Poonch district and recovered from it 38
rounds of AK ammunition, a hand grenade, a radio set antenna and Rs 550 in
Indian currency, they said.
