One killed, 8 injured in J&K grenade attack

Jammu: One person was killed and eight were injured in a grenade attack on a security picket in Kishtwar town in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on October 26, official sources said.

Militants threw a grenade on a security picket but it missed the target and exploded at a bus-stand in Kishtwar town of Doda district at around 18:30 hours (IST) on October 26, injuring nine people, two seriously, the sources said, adding one of the injured succumbed in hospital.

The entire area has been cordoned off by the security forces and searches are being conducted to track down militants responsible for the attack, the sources said.
