Golden Quadrilateral will be extended to Kohima: PM

Kohima: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on October 28 announced that the Golden Quadrilateral, which ends at Silchar, would be extended to Kohima with a four-lane highway, fulfilling the demand of the Nagaland government.

''Earlier, ambitious highway network was planned to come upto Silchar. Today, I am happy to announce that Kohima will also be connected to this project with a four-lane highway,'' Vajpayee said addressing a mammoth gathering at Indira Gandhi stadium.
