Intel, TVS Electronics team-up for SMB campaign

Bangalore: Intel, chip maker and TVS-Electronics, the computer peripheral manufacturing company today (Oct 29) said they have joined hands for a nationwide Small and Medium Business (SMB) campaign to create awareness and benefits of computerisation in the SMB segment.

The programme has been rolled out nationwide, successfully with over 30 "customer Meets" completed across eight cities in India, a TVS release said.

The SMB campaign offers to customers, a PC powered by Intel chipset, TVS Proton bill printer, billing software developed by a local software developer and financing options from Allianz Bajaj at an EMI of Rs 1,247.

The campaign plans to target all SMBs in the country and the initial focus was on chemists, it said.

As per the latest market research reports, SMB segment (comprising of small shops, establishments, small businesses), contributes to over 44 per cent of computer purchases and computerisation in this segment is growing at 15 per cent, the highest across all customer segment, the statement said.
