Shaukat Hussain to appeal against Delhi HC order
Wednesday, October 29 2003 12:58 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Senior advocate Shanti Bhushan, who defended Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant Shaukat Hussain Guru in the Delhi High Court, said he would appeal in the Supreme Court against the October 29 order upholding death sentence to Shaukat.

"We have strong grounds to file an appeal in the Supreme Court, though I'm yet to see the judgement of the high court, as I was not in the court today," he said.

"In my opinion, his appeal was unanswerable and the judgement is totally incorrect in the case of Shaukat," he added.
