Advani, Venkaiah meet Naidu amid speculations

Hyderabad: In the backdrop of speculation over possibility of advancing Lok Sabha polls as well as
Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and BJP (Bharatiya Janata
Party) president M Venkaiah Naidu today (Nov 2) held an hour-long meeting with Chief Minister N
Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad.
The issue of early polls also came up for discussions, official sources said.
The three leaders are understood to have exchanged their views on the national political situation in the
light of forthcoming Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Mizoram.
Earlier, the BJP president told reporters that his party would abide by the decision of its ally TDP
(Telugu Desam Party), on the timing of elections in Andhra Pradesh.
The luncheon meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of speculation in political circles over
possibility of early Assembly elections in the State in the aftermath of naxalites attack on the Chief
Minister recently.
