Srinagar: Militants today (November 4) shot dead Peoples Democratic Party leader Ghulam Mohammad Ganai in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Ganai, zonal president of the party and a contractor by profession, was fired upon by militants when he was overseeing construction work at Tahejbagh in Pampore around 11.30 AM (IST), official sources said.

He was critically injured in the attack and rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
