Allahabad: Asking politicians to stay away from Ayodhya issue, Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati said religious heads should be allowed to take initiative in resolving the tangle.

"Instead of politicians, religious heads should be allowed to take initiative in resolving the vexed issue," the seer, on a daylong visit to Allahabad, told reporters.
