Jammu: Foiling a major infiltration bid, Army today (November 6) shot dead two Pakistani militants near the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

On a tip-off about heavily armed militants waiting at the Line of Control to infiltrate, Army launched an operation in Bhagati forest area of the district last evening (Nov 5), official sources.

Two militants identified as Abu Rizi and Abu Jehadi were shot dead by troops this morning while the others escaped, they said.

The two militants were trying to facilitate the cross-over of the heavily armed infiltrators, the sources said.

Two AK rifles, one pika gun, seven magazines, nine grenades, one UBGL grenade and three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered from the spot.
