Daler Mehndi moves High Court for anticipatory bail
Friday, November 7 2003 13:57 Hrs (IST)

Chandigarh: Noted Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi today (Nov 7) moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the human trafficking case, his counsel said.

Counsel Anand Prakash told reporters that the bail application was likely to come up for hearing on November 10.

Daler has been eluding police since last week after he was questioned for 11 hours by the cops.

The pop star's plea for regular bail was dismissed by a Patiala court last week after the Delhi High Court had declined to extend his 10-day interim anticipatory bail which expired on November 1.

Patiala Civil Judge P S Dhanoa on November 6 had issued fresh non-bailable warrants against Daler.
