Jawan guns down two colleagues, injures another

Jammu: An Army havaldar opened fire on his colleagues with his service weapon killing two and injuring one of them following an altercation while playing cards at their unit in Mendhar area of Jammu's Poonch district, official sources said in Jammu today (Nov 8).

Four Army personnel of 132 Field Regiment were playing cards in their unit in Mendha area in Poonch last evening (Nov 7) when an altercation issued, the sources said adding Havaldar Subhash Pandey whipped out his service weapon and opened fire, killing Havaldar B.N. Bral and Naik B.E. Dongra on the spot and injuring Naik Rattan Singh.

The Army authorities took Pandey into custody and admitted the injured to hospital, they added.
