Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh): Atleast 40 labourers are feared drown after the boat in which they were travelling capsized in Godavari river in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh early today (November 10).

About 45 labourers, travelling in a country-made boat, were crossing the river in search of work in Lanka area when the mishap occurred near Ramchandrapuram, police sources said.

District administration has launched the rescue operation, the sources said adding, and so far three bodies have been retrieved.

Search for other bodies is on, the sources added.
