'WLL subscribers can now continue to enjoy services'
Monday, November 10 2003 20:43 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: The Association of Basic Telecom Operators (ABTO) today (Nov 10) said limited mobility (WLL) subscribers of Reliance and Tatas could continue to enjoy the services without interruption, as the Supreme Court had "declined" to grant a stay on WLL.

"The Supreme Court has today declined to grant any stay on limited mobility services. This means that subscribers of limited mobility services all over the country including those of Reliance and Tatas can continue to avail world class telecom facilities without any interruption whatsoever," ABTO secretary general S C Khanna said in a statement.

"The decision of the SC not to grant any stay is to be welcomed, as it will enable an increase in teledensity and encourage subscribers to adopt the latest technologies that the basic operators are able to offer," Khanna said.
