'Sweet message' delivered, Pak again harps on Kashmir

New Delhi: A day after delivering a "short, sweet and smart" message to Prime Minister Atal Bihari
Vajpayee, Pakistan today (Nov 12) harped again on the Kashmir issue and said its resolution would
alone open a new chapter of Indo-Pak friendship and amity.
"If we dispassionately look at the history of our embittered relations...only one issue – the non-resolution
of Kashmir dispute – has hampered the establishment of normal relations...let us muster the political will
to address this issue once for all," Pakistan Information Minister Sheikh Rashid told reporters.
Hoping that the forthcoming South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit would
give a new impetus to all round cooperation, Rashid said Vajpayee was the only bold and experienced
political leader at present who was capable of taking big decisions.
"If India takes one step towards normalisation, Pakistan will respond with two," Rashid, who was in new
Delhi in connection with the third SAARC Information Ministers' Conference, said.
