Pakistan adds a twist to the 'most-wanted' tale

New Delhi: Pakistan today (Nov 12) virtually asked New Delhi to give up its demand for the 20 most
wanted criminals and gave it a twist by saying Islamabad could also rake up the years-old Karachi first
information report (FIR), in which India's senior politicians had been named.
"If you talk of lists, then we will also have to go into old lists, where in an FIR at Karachi, second and third
political leadership of India has been named," Pakistani Information Minister Sheikh Rashid told
reporters.
To a specific question whether he was hinting at Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, Rashid
said, "Akalmand ko ishara kafi hai (A hint is enough for a wise man)."
Advani recently had said the "touchstone" of Pakistan's sincerity to improve its relations with India would
be its attitude towards the list of 20 fugitives given to it by New Delhi.
The Pakistani Minister also dismissed the Indian charge of supporting cross border terrorism and
said, "You have nine lakh troops present at the border, equipped with latest technology from the US and
Israel, then how can Islamabad be accused of infiltration?"
