Encounter breaks out in JK; 2 ultras killed so far

Srinagar: An encounter today (Nov 13) broke out between unspecified number of militants hiding in a house in Ganderbal area of Srinagar district and security forces, in which two ultras have been killed so far.

The gunbattle began when Rashtriya Rifles and police personnel cordoned off Shiekhpura village, 27 kms from Srinagar this afternoon, after hearing a gunshot in the area, official sources said.

The militants holed up inside a house were exchanging fire with security personnel till last reports came in.
