Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today (Nov 14) adopted a resolution recommending dissolution of the State Assembly to pave the way for early elections in the State.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who presided over the meeting, will meet Governor Surjeet Singh Barnala at 12.15 hrs (IST) to brief him about the Cabinet's decision, Andhra Home Minister T Devender Goud told reporters.

"We have adopted the resolution seeking a fresh mandate on the naxalite issue," he said.
