AP Assembly dissolved; State set for early polls

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Governor Surjeet Singh Barnala today (Nov 14) dissolved the State Assembly based on the recommendation of Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet.

Accepting the recommendation, the Governor asked Naidu and his Council of Ministers to continue in office as the caretaker Government.

Earlier, a meeting of the Cabinet, chaired by Naidu, adopted a resolution seeking dissolution of the 294- member House, 10 months before the completion of its term, and fresh mandate from people.
