Bikaner: Lashing out at Congress for adopting "double standards" on dealing with corruption, Prime
Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (November 18) demanded that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi
should resign and face trial for charges against him.
Throwing the gauntlet at Congress, Vajpayee said Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader
Dilip Singh Judeo had resigned from the Government following allegation of bribery against him but
questioned as to why the same yardstick was not being applied to Jogi.
"There is a chargesheet against Jogi. He should not only resign but the case against him should go on.
Why should the policy be different in Jogi's case? This is a question I
ask Congress President (Sonia Gandhi)," he said kicking off BJP's campaign for the Assembly polls in
Rajasthan and four other states.
