Cong denies Sonia used Chhattisgarh Govt aircraft
Tuesday, November 18 2003 22:03 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Hours after the Election Commission charged the Congress president with violating the model code of conduct, the party tonight (Nov 18) asserted that Sonia Gandhi had "definitely not used" any of the Chhattisgarh Government aircraft ever since the model code of conduct for the coming Assembly elections went into force.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) media secretary Tom Vadakkan said that on the contrary, Gandhi is "absolutely correct" in her travel itinerary after the code came into force.

As far as Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi is concerned, he said, "We have just received the notice from Election Commission and we are cross-checking it."
