Encounter at BSNL exchange building in Srinagar ends

Srinagar: The 48-hour standoff between security forces and two holed up militants at a Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) exchange building in the high security Badamibagh Cantonment area ended this evening (Nov 20) with the killing of both the ultras, official sources said.

An Army major, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a BSNL employee were also killed during the fierce exchange of gunfire spanning three days, the sources said.
