TN Govt files 23 fresh cases against publications

Chennai: Yet another batch of 23 defamation cases have been filed during the last one week against various publications by the Tamil Nadu Government.

The cases had been filed by the city public prosecutor before the principal sessions court, according to official sources.

While four pertained to 'The Hindu', five cases concerned 'India Today' magazine. Yet another one related to 'Tughlaq', a magazine being run by 'Cho' Ramaswamy. Others relate to 'Nakkeeran' and some other magazines.
