London court upholds freeze on Quattrocchi accounts

New Delhi: In a major victory for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a London court today (Nov 24) dismissed a petition of Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, an accused in the Bofors payoff case, seeking to defreeze his two bank accounts.

A Division Bench of the London court upheld the decision of the British Government to freeze on India's request two accounts of Quattrocchi having 3 million Euros and $ 1 million, CBI sources said.
