New Delhi: Asserting that the party would be coming out with more "details" about National Democratic
Alliance (NDA) Ministers "milking" public sector undertakings (PSUs), Congress today (Nov 28) said the
latest allegation by a top NHPC official that Rs 1 crore was demanded by way of bribe for his promotion
vindicated the party view about functioning of these undertakings.
Though Power Minister Anant Geete has denied the allegation by NHPC Director Vinay Kumar, party
spokesman S Jaipal Reddy told reporters, "A lot more material are in the pipeline with regard to PSU
milking."
Congress would be coming out with more details about these allegations during the coming session of
Parliament, he said, adding, "We will have a full dress rehearsal to undress the BJP (Bharatiya Janata
Party)-led NDA Government on the PSU issue."
He also wondered why the Prime Minister was "playing hide-and-seek" and not disclosing the details of
talks he had with the Chief Vigilance Commissioner P Shanker.
When pointed out that the CVC chief has denied naming any Ministers in the controversy, Reddy said
that Congress never said that CVC has done so. "What we said was that CVC did talk about political
interference in the functioning of the PSUs."
