25 Bangladeshi's held, BSF foils exfiltration bid
Sunday, November 30 2003 15:33 Hrs (IST)

Jammu: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel today (Nov 31, 2003) foiled an exfiltration bid and arrested 25 Bangladeshi nationals along the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, BSF sources said in Jammu.

The Bangladeshis were trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan when BSF troops detected their movement near Paharpur border outpost in Hiranagar sub-sector of Kathua district, the sources said.

When asked to surrender, the Bangladeshi nationals tried to escape but were caught later, they said. They were later handed over to police for further investigations.

With today's arrests, a total of 275 Bangla nationals have been arrested by BSF troops along IB in the state this month, the sources added.
