Mumbai: Hours after the arrest of former Mumbai Police Commissioner R S Sharma in the multi-crore fake stamp paper case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) today (Dec 1, 2003) conducted a search of his residence in Mumbai tonight, SIT sources said.

Sharma's official residence near Mantralaya was being jointly searched by the SIT and the Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) teams, the sources said, adding that the search was continuing.
