Vajpayee rules out early Lok Sabha polls

New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (Dec 4, 2003) virtually ruled out early Lok Sabha elections in the wake of party's resounding victory in the Assembly elections, which he said was "unexpected".

"Still one year is left," he told reporters who asked him whether the Lok Sabha polls would be advanced in view of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in the Assembly elections.
