Rajasthan: Vasundhara Raje to take oath on Dec 8

Jaipur: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Vasundhara Raje would take oath as the first woman Chief Minister of Rajasthan on December 8, party sources said today (Dec 4, 2003).

Raje would be sworn in at a ceremony in "Amroodon ka bagh", the first time outside the premises of Raj Bhawan, State vice-president of BJP Omkar Singh Lakhawat said.

A meeting of the newly-elected BJP MLAs has been called in Jaipur tomorrow (Dec 5) by Raje, who was already projected as the Chief Minister candidate prior to the elections.

Party functionaries including district chiefs and Members of Parliament would also attend the meeting tomorrow.
