Patna: Bihar Government today (Dec 5, 2003) ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe
into the gruesome killing of a senior official of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Satyendra
Dubey by unidentified criminals in Gaya town on November 27, official sources said.
The State Government ordered a CBI probe into Dubey's killing on the recommendation of Director
General of Police (DGP) D P Ojha, they said.
Dubey, a Civil Engineering graduate of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and batch-mate of
Gaya District Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh, was shot dead while he was on way to his A P
Colony residence from the Gaya railway junction.
The NHAI deputy general manager had become a target of the criminals after he had reportedly
complained to the Prime Minister's Office about alleged corrupt practices in the construction of Golden
Quadrilateral Highway in Gaya.
