Congress debacle in MP: Digvijay Singh resigns

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today (Dec 5, 2003) resigned in the wake of the
Congress' worst ever debacle in the State.
Singh handed over his resignation to Governor Ram Prakash Gupta, who asked him to continue in the
office till the new Government in installed.
Singh has already announced his decision not to hold any post in the party for the next 10 years.
