Pune: Suspended assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Mohammed Chand Mulani, who was arrested
last night (Dec 4, 2003) in connection with the multi-crore fake stamp paper racket, was admitted to
Sassoon Hospital in Pune early this morning, special investigation team (SIT) sources said.
Mulani, who was to be produced before the court this morning, complained of "uneasiness" and was
taken to the Sassoon Hospital, where he was admitted in the intensive care unit, the sources said.
"His blood sugar and blood pressure were high. BP has come back to normal and his condition is stable
now. He is speaking," doctors attending on him said.
Police sources said Mulani would be produced in the court only after obtaining the permission of the
doctors.
"Now we will produce a medical certificate in the court and seek permission to produce Mulani later on
medical grounds," they said.
