Raman Singh to replace Jogi as Chattisgarh CM

Raipur: Former Union Minister Raman Singh was today (Dec 5, 2003) elected leader of the Chattisgarh
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislature party to become the new Chief Minister.
Singh, an MP from Rajnandgaon who did not fight the Assembly polls, was elected at a meeting of
the newly elected legislators attended by party president M Venkaiah Naidu, general secretary
Sanjay Joshi, former Union Minister Dilip Singh Judeo and Union Minister Ramesh Bais.
