Vajpayee meets Ghana President Kufour
Saturday, December 6 2003 14:28 Hrs (IST)

Abuja: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had a meeting with Ghana President John Agyekum Kufour in Abuja last night (Dec 5, 2003) on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meet (CHOGM).

Vajpayee is understood to have explained to him the reason why he had cancelled his visit to Ghana. The Prime Minister was scheduled to fly to Ghana on December 8 after attending the summit and return home on December 10.

He told him that he had to skip Ghana due to pressing Parliamentary work.

Vajpayee has also curtailed his visit to the summit and would not be able to stay here for the full duration. He would return home tomorrow night.
