SC directs Special Judge to decide Badal's bail

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Dec 8, 2003) directed the special Judge in Ropar to decide
tomorrow (Dec 9) the bail application of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son
Sukhbir Singh, who have been in judicial custody in the case pertaining to Rs 78 crore disproportionate
assets.
A Bench comprising Justice N Santosh Hegde and Justice P B Singh, while giving the direction, posted
for Friday (Dec 12) the hearing on petition filed by Badal and his son seeking bail as well as transfer of
the case outside the State.
