Dubey killing: HC seeks security plan from Bihar
Thursday, December 11 2003 15:53 Hrs (IST)
Patna: The Patna High Court today (Dec 11, 2003) directed the Bihar Government to submit
a 'dedicated plan' to the court by the evening pledging 24-hour foolproof security for a smooth
completion of the Golden Quadrilateral Project.
Observing that killing of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) project manager Satyendra Kumar
Dubey, was a reflection of prevailing poor law and order situation in Bihar, a divisional bench ordered
that the security plan be submitted to the High Court Registrar General by this evening.
The bench comprising Chief Justice Ravi S Dhavan and Justice Shashank Kumar Singh was hearing a
Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by an advocate M P Gupta alleging that the future of the project was
in danger due to the killing of Dubey at Gaya on November 27.
The court adjourned the hearing on the matter for tomorrow.
