Stamp scam: Ex-M'shtra DGP questioned by SIT

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) Subhashchandra Malhotra was today
(Dec 11, 2003) questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the multi-crore
stamp paper scam.
Malhotra had given a clean chit to the then Mumbai Police Commissioner R S Sharma when SIT chief
DIG Subodh Jaiswal had presented a report on the omissions and commissions of the Pune Police in the
investigation of the fake stamp paper scam.
