New Delhi: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who is in New Delhi to attend the two-day
conference on Peace in South Asia, today (Dec 12, 2003) had a luncheon meeting with Deputy Prime
Minister L K Advani at his residence.
Wearing a bright violet salwar suit, Bhutto spent almost two hours at Advani's residence, where she was
received at the portico with flowers by the DPM himself, along with his wife Kamala and daughter
Pratibha.
Neither Bhutto nor Advani spoke to the waiting journalists outside. Sources said it was "purely a
personal and private luncheon", as both leaders belong to Sindh province in Pakistan.
This is the second time Bhutto attended lunch by the Advanis, the previous one being four years ago at
the previous residence of Advani at Pandara Park when he was the Union Home Minister.
It was also not known whether any Sindhi cuisine or "politically significant" Kashmiri cuisine was part of
the menu.
