BSE: Share prices resume lower at opening session

Mumbai: The Sensex opened remarkably lower due to negative Wall Street advices at opening session
on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today (Dec 16, 2003).
The BSE-30 sensitive index opened at 5,374.15 as against yesterday's close of 5,390.88 and moved in
a narrow range between 5,393.55 and 5,351.21 before being quoted at 5,380.00 at 10.30 hrs (IST).
The Dow Jones industrial average was down by 19.34 points and the Nasdaq composite index was down
by 30.74 points, which negatively affected the bourses in Mumbai.
Arvind Pharma dropped by 3.45 per cent, Tatelxs by 3.39 per cent, Fact by 3.11 per cent, Thomasck by
3.01 per cent, Lichfin by 2.98 per cent, Rolta by 2.98 per cent, Ipcalab by 2.78 per cent, Trent by 2.57
per cent and Hindink by 2.56 per cent.
However, Dredgdm rose by 6.76 per cent, Godrcon by 3.60, Jaipind by 2.94 per cent, IBP by 2.83 per
cent and Sygenta by 2.65 per cent.
