Wednesday, December 17 2003 11:58 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: Mumbai High Court today (Dec 17, 2003) dismissed Maharashtra Government's petition seeking transfer of probe to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in multi-crore fake stamp paper scam.

Chief Justice C K Thakker and Justice Abhay Oka observed that they were dismissing the petition without going into the merits of the case, because a similar matter was pending before Supreme Court.
