New Delhi: With the Royal Bhutan Army scoring major success against ULFA (United Liberation Front of
Assam), NDFB (National Democratic Front of Bodoland) and KLO (Kamtapur Liberation Army) terrorists
forcing the militant ranks to flee, Thimpu may seek the co-operation of Indian security forces in the task
of "cleaning up", official sources said.
"The terrorists are on the run," the sources said, "and may escape to nearby areas within Bhutan as well
as Southern side of the border and the close co-operation between Royal Bhutan Army and Indian
security forces will have to continue."
These matters are likely to be considered by the Cabinet Committee on Security when it meets next,
sources said maintaining that the meeting may also consider suggestion or request for co-operation if
any by the Bhutanese Government for the ongoing operations.
The sources said the momentum of operations and pressure on the terrorist outfits was likely to
continue over the next few days.
